Shout Out to the Hingham Trash Mob

Saw a great little article today about some ambitious high schoolers taking recycling very seriously at Hingham High School.  These energy conscious students actually sorted through 15 bags of lunchtime garbage to see how much recyclable material was actually being thrown away by the school.

It turns out that 8 bagfuls of material could have been recycled or composted! Great work done by these well-organized students at school. Too often, we take our pre-conceived notions of what materials are actually able to be recycled. As this group shows, we can recycle more than we ever thought before.

Check out out recycling schedules and trash pick up times for this spring!
